Original ce banc en forme de chaîne.
Chris: Yes you can see where the original thought process came from..
Thats clever...Chain links, yes ?
Chris: I think so Frank. This site was originally an industrial area
Curious and creative...
Chris: Echoing the past I remember in Bath Elizabeth: industry and metal-bashing..
Surprenant !!
Chris: Yes indeed
An original concept but it doesn't look like somewhere one would want to sit.
Chris: Not really, too arty farty for me..

Quite a novel idea Tiff. Instead of being chained to one’s seat, one is seated to one’s chain.
Chris: This is on the site of the Stothert & Pitt works Chad, where you and I were meant to spend our working lives

I assume that this marks a link (geddit?) to the chain-making industry. The usual image of Brunel shows him with some huge chains in the background.
Chris: Well..sort of. Stothert & Pitt, crane makers to the world was on this site
The firm was asked to produce a chain-link fence, but something went wrong!
Chris: That is exactly what might have gone wrong Tom..
I think it is wonderful and original.
Chris: Very SOLID, I'm sure you would agree..
Not the most comfortable of seats is it.
Chris: Definitely not Brian

An interesting piece of art work.
Chris: It is meant to be practical Anne. To me it simply looks uncomfortable..
