Were they musical, Chris, or just interesting to look at?
Chris: Both Ray
I'd go for Mr W's shilling sooner than the King's Tiff.
Chris: And his half crown doesn't get a look in Chad

Where is the Mr.? Or is the musician on the left a male 'human bean'? A funny group for sure! Red-black are the dominant colours instead of red-blue-white.
Chris: Mr Wilkins was a local tee total mill owner. If he caught one of his employees consuming alcohol he would fine them a shilling, or so the story goes Philine
They look a jolly lot. I was going to ask the origin of the name but have seen your reply to Philine
Chris: Jolly indeed, theirs is a feel-good occupation
I have a collection of red and black clothing so would fir tight in.
Chris: That is nice to know Mary

Compared with what you usually show us of Bath residents, these ladies look fairly normal. I've just looked at the website of this lot and I now know who Mr Wilkins was. Somehow temperance and Morris dancers seem oxymorons.
Chris: Yes they do. Maybe they are making the point that they are abstemious females and not boozy blokes..
Was it just the two ladies playing while the others chatted to all and sundry, presumably somebody had to bang the drum every now and then.
Chris: When I took this they were warming up before dancing Brian, altogether there were around a dozen of them

Were they as interesting to listen too as they are to look at Chris?
Chris: Very much so Anne, this was taken at a Morris convention in Bath a few weeks ago

Ah ...the silly hats gang
Chris: I could see you dressed like this

then carted off..
Which is Mrs. Wilkins, I wonder?
Chris: My reply to Philine reveals the story Tom
