Art is only art if it was intended ... other wise it is just broken plastic floor tiles causing a refurbishment bill and job in the near future.
You took a snap because you do things like that and then said I'll create a pretentious title to impress the SC punters ....

Damn it man , I wish I had got there first.

Good morning Christopher ... I'm off to make some good coffee to wake me up now.
Chris: Get a life!
Tracy Enema or someone like that would make a fortune from this
Chris: BUT WHY CAN'T I???

Lol at Richard! In any case an interesting observation and photo!
Chris: Mr Trim loves to play Devil's Advocate Philine: without this metaphorical pin to prick pomposity a number of us might become either deluded & diminished

Frame it and go to Christie's... I will help you count the money, Big Bro smile
I think Trim is way to awake...
Chris: M<r Trim is simply jealous of my fantastic creative talents Astrid
Art is always the result of accumulated observations, you're drafting the piece, Bill!
Chris: You are right in almost everything you say JC

Mr Trim is actually not on the money today - making art is an intentional activity agreed. You took a photograph, an intentional act making it art.

But you can make art by just calling it art (We have Marcel Duchamp to thank for this) so if you wish to present your found broken floor tile as art then it is art.
Chris: I agree with you: if there is a monument to M Duchamp we aught to lay a wreath at its base
Looks like a chore to me rather than art but you could make art out of the chore of fixing some tiles.
Chris: I think you can probably make art out of most things Mary
Art is everywhere, but especially in ruined buildings...
Chris: You are quite right Larry

I had a kitchen floor quite similar to this for a few months whilst the kitchen was being refitted. How are you getting on with the bench refurbishment?
Chris: My bench is virginal: untouched by human hand, or anything else for that matter
Good catch, Chris!!
