Chris: They are the height of fashion...for the 18th century

Chris: Certainly they are very stylish..
Des robes bien visibles, j'aime bien les chapeaux.

Oh, your lovely red - Hane Austen is greeting.
Chris: I find the red a most pleasing colour Philine
What would Bath do if Jane Austen had decided not to bother writing books?
Chris: Under those circumstances Bath might not even exist..

This looks as if it could turn nasty Tiff.
Chris: Three of them have picked the same outfit on the same day

I see what you mean Chad

Chris: They are only just tolerating her..

Something's wrong - the waiter seems to be the best dressed.
Chris: He is dressed functionally Louis, the rest of them are bonkers..
We have 'Fathers (and their wives) of Confederation' roaming the streets of Charlottetown in the summer. They have lots of fun portraying their characters but the long dresses and black suits are very hot, I'm told.
Chris: I don't doubt what you say Mary..
Somehow the guy in the background doesn't match.
Chris: No Brian, he's a waiter

Chris: I wonder why he isn't in his kitchen then??
nice red clocks Chris... i like the smile of the face if the girl in the middle....petersmile
Chris: Thank you Peter
It strikes me that ALL the residents of Bath should dress up like this, then only the tourists would stand out smile
Chris: Yours is a brave idea Tom..
They seem to fit in quite naturally, without any disturbance, Chris smile
Chris: Very much so Martin, all relaxed
