Do those sails work...? smile I'm intrigued by the boat behind him, if it is a boat....
Chris: The thing behind him certainly is a boat, albeit a very odd one indeed

His sails don't look efficient..
Nice photo of a man and his boat
Chris: He paints traditional canal designs on things, such as the barrel in the foreground

A great picture of the man and the dog and the laundry....
Man alive, did you see that floating castle in the back of him... pfew.
And don't tell me, the two of you emptied that barrel of parsnip wine........
Chris: Yes we did Astrid. Next time we shall sail the floating castle across the sea to Dutchland to visit you..
You know me and narrowboats, Chris! I suppose there are more than enough of them for every day of the week!
Chris: We are quite big on canals and boats here in the UK Ginnie

It would be difficult to navigate with one's small blowing in the wind and obstructing the view. Some odd-looking properties across theatre; they appear to have cannon poking to out to fire broadsides at passing vessels.
Chris: This is Saul Junction on the Gloucester-Sharpness canal, a dangerous place

It’s a reasonable way to live I think Tiff. I’m not sure I’d fancy it myself though.
Chris: No me Chad. I'd rather live in a town like Halesworth with plenty of cocktail parties available and servants to wash my smalls
Outdoor living, next to the water and with a dog for company.........can't be bad! smile
Chris: There's a lot to be said for it..
Gosh! The boat in the rear catches my eye.
Chris: Mad isn't it
I'd never thought about where canal boat people have to put their washing, one learns something every day on SC. Great castle boat in the background, big enough for an SC get-together perhaps smile
Chris: Just imagine if it sank with all of us aboard!

Yo, ho, ho and a barrel of rum (or whatever).

The dog's leash is of a length that it can't reach you. Well planned.
Chris: I am obliged to you Louis

LOL at Frank! Great capture.
Chris: Well where else do you dry your laundry on a boat like this?

A question I have never considered before..
A nice domestic scene, Chris. Like how you were able to capture two different style of house boats in one shot.
Chris: The one in the background looks positively dangerous Bev!
Monday seems to be wash day around the world Chris... it's good the way he sets up thee clothes lines....petersmile
Chris: Much obliged to you Peter
