Ils sont mignons ces canards blancs.
Chris: Wonderful aren't they
Always so lovely to come across!
Chris: This is quite interesting. After I took the picture I read in a newspaper that these geese had been dumped in the village by persons unknown
Jolie petite famille ..
Chris: They are happy together

cute, but will they overcome the obstacle in the foreground?
Chris: Probably not but they have the option of walking round it

Chris: These are geese, they are not racing

Lovely picture.
Chris: Thank you kindly Anne
Read your reply to Eliz about these geese being dumped. They were likely fed before that so now having to fend for themselves. Very sad but thankfully you photo does not tell that story.
Chris: They seemed to be very well fed and fit when I encountered them Mary. I wonder though what all of their story would reveal?
Oh, I hope they survive on their own, Chris. The B&W treatment really shows how white they are.
Chris: I experimented, mono definitely was best for the image Bev
Some people are very casual about where they get rid of unwanted animals, I met a woman who claimed she dropped Turtles into Stanley park lake in Blackpool as they grew too big. Now its full of them and they take Ducklings...Sad, and irresponsible.
Chris: Yes quite right Frank, some people have no sense of responsibility
Let's hope they are managing to fend for themselves after being dumped like that.
Chris: I expect they have a very good survival instinct Brian
