West Bay I think.
Chris: It is indeed. I went back last week to find the place turned upside down as new sea defences are built

Love how you resorted to the heart string plucking feature...child with dog!
Chris: Without them this would be a sterile composition
Jolie vue. J'aime le toit de chaume
Chris: Thank you Martine. This is West Bay on the south coast in Dorset
What a great image, Chris! I like the colors and the POV!
Chris: I am standing on a huge shingle bank. Ahead, and also behind me, are very tall cliffs..

What a togetherness of different styles of houses! Unusual thatched houses!
Chris: Yes indeed Philine, the architectural styles here are diverse
A fine shot young Chris. I have not been to West Bar in many many years
Chris: I returned this week. Flood defences have turned the place upside down
or even West Bay

A right mix of building styles not all of them pleasant. I think that it was in West Bay that I was first introduced to the delights of Dorset Apple Cake.
Chris: I would only marry a woman who could make decent Dorset apple cake. My standards are incredibly high. My morals less so..

Everything looks out of kilter Tiff, not that I’ve ever read the book.
Chris: This could be a dream or a badly put together model Chad. But it is neither of these things, simply questionable photography skills for all 2 C

Looks to be West Bay
Chris: An incisive comment
Those homes built on the cliff on the left must have some wonderful views.
Chris: Indeed they do Bev, those cliffs are pretty high ones
A fine shot Chris. We went there many years ago to the holiday centre when our children were young, no doubt it has changed a lot since then.
Chris: Changed hugely over the years Brian

Quite a contrast between old and new. I don't think I've ever considered that you get thatched cottages on the coast too.
Chris: I would have thought the sea air would rot thatch, but obviously it doesn't..
As a last resort, you could stay home. smile
Chris: Good advice
generations of architectural styles
