Hmmmmmm? Perhaps it works better on the inside...
Chris: It was cold inside, so I thought I'd take a conventional snaperoo out in the graveyard..
Dommage que les toitures ne soient pas de la même couleur.
Chris: Yes indeed. I wonder why that should be?
It looks like you had a wonderful day to photograph this!
Chris: Early spring Elizabeth, a pretty chilly day though..

I see the snowdrops around the church - what a long, old church with the castle-like looking tower!
Chris: You will observe the chancel to be the newer part of the building Philine. This suggests possibly a gift to the incumbent at some time in the past

Isn't Charleton Horethorne some actor luvvie perhaps with the RSC? This church has seen a few years and probably many monarchs come and go in its time.
Chris: You're quite right, this should really be an out and out luvvie..

I'm sort of with Alan … Charlton Horthorne sounds like the sort of name that you should give yourself, Chris
Chris: I will restrain from suggesting a new moniker for yourself..
Imposante structure ..on pourrait penser qu'elle a ete bati en plusieurs fois !
Chris: It has been extended over time from the look of things Claudine
Looks like it was extended at some time to accommodate a growing congregation
Chris: I think you're right
Our country is blessed with beautiful village churches like this one.
Chris: Yes it is Brian, and it's a nice thing to do to go out to find them
it sure is a humble looking old church Chris... you framed it well....petersmile
Chris: Thank you kindly Peter
