Is it still that, Chris, its a fine building.
Chris: A private residence now Frank but when it was built this was such a grand place. Looks like no expense spared

What a handsome office!
Chris: Gorgeous isn't it. They don't design them like this anymore..
I really like that old building!
Chris: Solid, and with style..
Joli bâtiment, j'aime beaucoup.
Chris: Thank you kindly Martine
You have a knack for the quirky title..
Chris: All part of the final finished product Larry

Where is this, please, Chris?
Chris: The old police station in Wincanton Lisl. I went there not so long ago having realised I knew nothing about the place..
Très belle construction imposante , Merci
Chris: I agree with what you say Claudine

It looks like a Dutch Hofje, a former orphanage or home for widows or ... I don't understand the title - witty?
Chris: Very witty, I hope, Philine

This is an old police station, or cop shop, in English vernacular. And this I have "copped" or taken/captured in a picture..

Oh yes, I can remember when we used to have police stations - and police on the streets, too. This looks to be from an era when there was plenty of money for such places. I would agues that it is now two residences, one of either side of the archway?
Chris: I think you are right about the current state of this building

Bath ceased to have a police station in 2016. Those "in Charge" of such things now realise they made a mistake

Sorry, I didn't know the word 'cop shop', we have still police stations. An impressive building, now residents for the richer people? I like all the flower pots.
Chris: Cop shop is a slang expression Philine

A rustic appearance but with some fine features Tiff, such as chimney and gutteridge.
Chris: I knew you'd spot that Chad
From a different age when the local Bobby knew everyone on his patch ...or so we like to imagine
Chris: The far off days of "it's a fair cop."
This has to be the best looking police station I've ever seen, Chris.
Chris: Built for the local force back in Victorian times Bev
An Edwardian(I think) beauty.
Chris: Around that era certainly
It is a very fine building, it looks nothing like a Police Station in design.
Chris: Built at a time when money was plentiful Brian
One residence or two?
Chris: Probably two now Tom
