Oh I like this... much better than the ones where they show them laying down
Chris: Yes indeed Elizabeth. I was rather taken with her stance, as if in contemplation. Perhaps of events past and glories to come..
She looks comfortable, but lonely, Chris....did you keep here company for a while?
Chris: I certainly did do just that thing
Une position inhabituelle pour les sculptures.
Chris: I thought that too Martine, hence this image

That's a good pose. Looks like she's sat up in bed.
Chris: She could be watching Strictly Come Dancing on a wall-mounted telly..
Très originale cette dame au repos ..cela reste une belle sculpture .
Chris: Thank you Claudine. I think there is a lovely elegance to this memorial

I am of the same opinion like Elizabeth - whgat an elegant repose. Worcester Cathedral?
Charlotte Elizabeth Digby was the daughter of Colonel Hon.
Stephen Digby and Lady Lucy Fox-Strangways.
She married (second wife) Reverend William Digby, son of Very Rev. Hon. William Digby and Charlotte Cox, in 1803.
She died on 13 September 1820. I think she was very young.
Chris: Yes Worcester Cathedral Philine. I'm sure all you quote is accurate and true
Worcester cathedral. Apparently her husband was her first cousin
Chris: Is that legal?

Well I guess it was..

Dying of consumption in spite of her privileged position.
Chris: Well of course people did..
It is a most unusual stance but she looks so relaxed.
Chris: Yes she does Brian
such a beautiful sculpture Chris... nicely framed....petersmile
Chris: Thank you Peter
Must have been a well-to-do cleric to afford that memorial!
Chris: Think how much this might cost in 2018 - a fortune!
A better pose for sure than laying down looking dead. smile
