A lovely landscape. Is that knobbly bot on the right an ancient barrow? The two people help make this image.
Chris: The people are there to provide scale. I love your description of a knobbly bot - sounds painful!
Magnifique ...on irait bien s'y promener !
Bonne journée
Chris: A place with fine views indeed
This looks a vast area with those tiny figures. They must be marathon walkers!
Chris: Wide angle lens Sheila. This place isn't as big as the picture suggests
Very pleasant
Chris: Yes indeed, as pleasant as a Bullock's breakfast

No doubt these are chalk hills found in soft southern England... Nice
Chris: Yes they are. Thank you
reminds me of many walks Merry and I took in the countryside in the UK many years ago
Chris: That is good Alan
That is very similar to where I grew up at the end of the Chilterns at Royston, Hertfordshire. There is a very large area of heathland called Therfield Heath after a nearby village complete with 5 ancient barrows, and of course a golf course!!
Chris: That is nice to know Brian
What a fabulous crossroad
Chris: Thank you Mary
Looks as though there's also been some off-road vehicle on it too.
Chris: DON'T SAY THAT!!
And it looks like a really great walk!
Chris: And it can go on for miles..
