Why does the lady weep? The Sir looks so friendly - I know exactly where we are!
Chris: She was actually smiling Philine, or trying to..
She doesn't really seem at all sure of the situation, Chris, but it's clearly a laugh for him!
Chris: This is normal for him, very much not so for her

She is like a girl explaining to her mother that she doesn't want to be alone with the store Santa.
Chris: Very good Louis, I like that
Oh dear, she got caught at the wrong moment...
Chris: Could be Larry..
We see a very similar scene with the 'Fathers (and wives) of Confederation' interacting with folks around Province House in the city. They are all young people and I have the privilege of seeing them every day.
Chris: Have you thought about photographing them?
He's looking very jolly, Chris. Her handbag and his coat pocket have almost identical gaps.
Chris: Made for each other?

I'm not quite certain that she is enjoying the experience.
Chris: I think you might be right Anne
I once went to a work do in Stratford. Some bloke was wandering around being Falstaff and blabbering loudly at us not caring that he was interrupting our conversations. In the end I told him to go forth and multiply as I was not a tourist
Chris: Good for you
I'm presuming from your answer to Elizabeth he does this for a living.
Chris: Yes he does Brian
From times past?
Chris: A 21st century beau Tom
