I remember seeing this on my last visit, interesting, and fun,but art ? really ?
Chris: There was another element to this. All the radios piled up here as a great pile were working; it was a Tower of Babel..
Well that's so cool!
Love the video!!
Chris: I had to include a figure to emphasise the sheer size of this thing..
C'est original comme pyramide.
Chris: And there was a lot of noise from it too Martine..

Yes, a Tower of Babel in our modern times! I see lots of radios, tv's, supposedly mobile phones, smartphones ... -the world has immensely changed!
Chris: And all of them were making noise Philine, it was cacophonous
The tower of Babel....one of the most amusing things at Tate Modern
Chris: Yes it was..

Now there's a piece of art I can appreciate. It would be fun if all the radios were tuned to a different radio station. Some look like they could receive Radio Luxembourg and the pirate radio stations and of course the Home Service. It would be nice to listen to Mrs Dales' Diary again and Alvar Lidell; I could understand what he was saying.
Chris: You sound very conservative. Were you born in the 1980s?

What a great construction this is Tiff, a great day and good to see some art again.
Chris: Love it Chad, the workings of other peoples minds are always fascinating
I'm not into modern art but I think this looks quite inventive, especially if they all work at the same time.
Chris: It was quite impressive Brian
It must have taken the artist ages to construct this, Chris.
Chris: Very much so Bev. As you can see, it dominates the room..

An interesting construction, and a great dance sequence.
Chris: And it made a cacophony of noise too..
i like motion of the person, almost dance like, with the installation, Chris.
Chris: Thank you kindly Ayush
I like it. He loves science fiction and this reminds me of Stargate
Chris: Aha! Thank you for this Claudio
A different take on a radio tower smile
Chris: It's certainly that Tom..
i like it Chris... a radio tower!
Chris: Thank you Peter, it was very effective
