Fontaine (en anglais : Fountain) est un ready-made de Marcel Duchamp consistant en un urinoir en porcelaine renversé signé « R. Mutt » et daté 1917. L'œuvre apparaît dans le catalogue raisonné d'Arturo Schwarz sous le no 3451. Fountain fut refusée lors de la première exposition de la Société des artistes indépendants de New York en 1917 avant de disparaître. Il n'en existe que des répliques, certifiées par Marcel Duchamp et réalisées dans les années 1950 et 1960.
Fontaine passe pour l'œuvre la plus controversée de l'art du XXe siècle".

Interesting subjects..

I risk life and limb photographing bands, wild birds and dogs and this man photographs a pot to pee in.

Now I know why I don't get excited by modern 'art', did you have a great feeling of relief as you moved on from it?

Having now ready the Wiki entry, it confirms my view that the wording it is a load of pretentious nonsense.
