That wall could have used a little style adjudication...
Chris: This is a wall of memories Ray, mostly forgotten ones..
i like the bright, airy feel to this image, Chris. the visitors had an easy time perusing the inscriptions.
Chris: This in Bath Abbey Ayush, where there is plenty of light within

I like this pic', Chris. Did the plaques come from elsewhere or is that their original placing?
Chris: All original Frank, on the Abbey's eastern nave wall

Oh, I love to read these plaques of died persons, too, often I only try to read and understand... I like that the living persons are standing side by side to the dead persons.
Chris: That was the point of this image Philine: the quick and the dead

I think a stonemason would have his work cut out to produce a new plaque thing to fit in the remaining spaces. The lady has her mind on the cafe.
Chris: You have a ONE TRACK MIND

These memorials often make interesting reading
Chris: Very much so..

Rather pleasingly composed Tiff my boy.
Chris: With any luck I will sink to your standard in no time at all Chad
A fine shot Chris, I wonder if they take in the fact that behind every one of those plaques is a life lived that is now history that we will never know.
Chris: Probably all prominent local citizens Brian

An interesting collection of shape and form, no doubt with matching variety of information about those being commemorated.
Chris: All sorts, or rather all sorts with families wealthy enough to afford this stab at posterity I suspect Anne..
...and permanent residents? smile
Chris: Yes indeed Tom

I recall this memory wall- I took a picture of the plaque of Beau Ricardo Nash.
Chris: You have a good memory Philine
Nice framing, just the choice to place people to the side
Looks like they are rushing through or ignoring history...
