Chris: I thought the men looked vaguely old fashioned in those hats Ayush
A welcome scene for the first of December!
Chris: Yes indeed Elizabeth: thank you

A lovely timeless appeal (ingnoring the halogen floodlight). They must be expecting lots of buyers. At least now we have some proper weather for the season.
Chris: Yes indeed we do. This was taken next to Winchester Cathedral last winter

I like to have one hot chestnut snack per year, Chris.
Chris: You deserve it!
One of the things I most love about the European Christmas markets, Chris!!!
Chris: These are very traditional in Europe Ginnie, even here in Brexitland..

They made this into a science and they expect a lot of people. Did you eat any. I am not so fond of them, one or two are okay for me. GInnie loves them.
Chris: Like you Astrid I don't like them much, they are too bland for my palate

I have seen the likes of that cart with the big frying pan in Paris, once. But without the fire extinguisher. All of this makes a great and almost timeless picture.
Chris: What you describe was the effect I was aiming for Louis: thank you
Chris: I am inclined to agree with you, I like neither taste nor texture

Great that these have made a come-back. Do you know if there are any in Bath?
Chris: No idea Lisl, I'm not a fan

Ah that old chestnut. I love sweet chestnuts Tiff, but notice that they are more popular on the mainland than in fortress UK.
Chris: I did not know that Chad

Bill thinks they are commers.
Chris: I beg your pardon??
Please forgive my ipad's disgraceful altering of my words. I am on my PC now, which has far better manners - so I can write 'conkers' without having it changed to 'commers'.
Chris: That's bonkers Chad
Yes please, monochrome is best for such shots
Chris: Oh thank you Martin!

I like the sepia tones Chris - I can almost smell the chestnuts, bringing back childhood memories of buying roasted chestnuts in little triangular paper bags.
Chris: A very seasonal smell Anne
Excellent choice to make this a sepia; any monotone would do.
Chris: Thank you Mary
I don't recall ever having has a hot Chestnut, but then I've never fancied one either.
Chris: Me neither Brian
Works well, Chris. Its been a long time since I had these.
Chris: Much obliged Frank
