A nice light in this shot, Chris. I hope you had your boots on.
Chris: We sure did Frank, this was taken on a Christmas Day walk
Nice and soft... the light and the ground! smile
Chris: I was attracted by the well lit muddy track Ellie, nice to look at but..

The moss seems to be enjoying that low angle sunshine, Chris.
Chris: There is a lot of damp in this lane Ray, moss & those hart's tongue ferns love that

Joli chemin qui invite à  la balade.
Chris: Very much so Martine
I recall that you have plenty of such tracks in this condition where you and Lisl live, Chris. They can make a mess of you if you're not careful. Apart from that, the surroundings are well worth the walk!
Chris: I took this on a Christmas Day walk with Jackie Ginnie, it was a nice bright day
Fabulous capture of light here Tiff, and the track which has served man, woman, children and grandparents for a considerably long time.
Chris: This path is at Hazelbury and it drops down eventually to Box Chad

Hart's Tongue Fern is big this week, Chris. Where is this?
Chris: At Hazelbury looking down the footpath that eventually leads to Box. We'll walk it one day Lisl

Oh, what a muddy way, but no problem for stoic m hardy Brits with their wellies - this could also be a symbol for the Brexit we are now expecting.after Mrs. Maywill's speech yesterday.
Chris: Brexit is full steam ahead Philine, our friend President Trump will protect us from the evils of the world

Beautiful light but it does look rather muddy. Did your companions lay down their coats so your could travel mud-free?
Chris: Yes of course they do
This is a fine picture with great lighting and not a single dozy sod dressed up to look like a Regency toff
Chris: Agreed. This is the land of wellington boots and sensible clothing

Chris: Tat just about sums it up Louis, it gets steeped & muddier later..

Ah, a man after my own heart. Shooting into the sun breaks the rules but gives glittering results. Very fine.
Chris: I could spend a week doing this, or longer. Does Mrs Dog do this, I can't remember?
The ferns are beautiful along the wall. You might be able to ski in that mud.
Chris: Or wade through it..
Mucky underfoot but a nice walk I would think.
Chris: Yes it was Brian
Worthy of exploration
Chris: Very much so Martin especially as this was after lunch on Christmas Day

It looks very like the walk I had today with the mud and Hart's tongue, though sadly we didn't get that ray of sunshine, it was all a bit grey, though I did spot my first snowdrops of the year.
Chris: Aha - I spotted my first examples in bloom yesterday Anne. THERE IS HOPE!

I think this is very slippery and I love the light and the green...
I hope you have a great walk with Jackie that day and nobody slipped....
Chris: Nobody slipped at all, it was a very nice day Astrid
Fine shot, Chris!
Chris: I am obliged to you Tom
