Is this the same starling from Lisl's shot on Monday?! He looks very curious!
Chris: No not at all Ellie. It was taken at the seaside a couple of months ago. The bird was wondering if I was going to provide a meal

Quel joli plumage tacheté de blanc.

Not something I would expect to see at the coast; perhaps its on its holiday? It's posing nicely for a photo it to send to its folks back home.
Chris: This was Mudeford, the place has been taken over by resident Starlings. I think the G U feed them..

Essence of starling. We have both been enthralled by them this week
Chris: Yes we have Lisl, these at Mudeford, by the café, were professional beggars..
He look like he is enjoying the sea air Lisl
Chris: Yes he does - bracing!

Looking for all the world like a salty dog on top of his lobster pots. The starlings here are no where near as cocky, they leave that to the jackdaws.
Chris: These at Mudeford have taken the place over by the café Mike. On to a good thing methinks..
He looks very proud of his speckled coat.
Chris: With very good reason too Mary
a starling surrounded by wonderful old fishing nets Chris....petersmile
Chris: His habitat Peter
I like its sort of showing off pose.
Chris: Yes it's a look-at-me moment

Starlings get such a bad press, but they are so pretty, especially with the sun on their plumage.
Chris: They are precious & beautiful birds Anne

Well netted, Chris.
Chris: Admittedly Starlings are not exactly the sort of birds you prefer to photograph at the seaside..
Starlings get everywhere, don't they - although I see them only rarely here.
Chris: They are somewhat in decline Tom, so it was pleasing to see the way they've colonised this place
