L never heard of Wellow before, Chris...what is Wellow near?
Chris: Wellow is a village south of Bath Ray
A cracking landscape, Chris. Setting the bar high for the year!

The wide open skies and rolling hills of merry old England - can't beat it!

Is there a connection between this and the train? Theres a large black hole and I'm wondering is something is missing?
Chris: Nothing is missing except the S&D which used to run through the village along the hedge-line with the elongated hedge on until 1966. I often ruminate on how busy it would be nowadays but for politicians who knew the price of everything and the value of nothing..

Happy New Year Tiff ... Did you see the ''from the footplate'' tv prog about the Flying Scotsman
Chris: I didn't actually see that, because a bloody great express locomotive on a 25mph branch line isn't exactly the real thing. Now if they ever do a similar exercise on the main line I will be riveted to the screen
This looks such fine countryside in B.& W., well twiddled or not. Would I be right in thinking there is a link between the scene and the S.& D.train lower down?
Chris: The S&D ran along the hedge-line in the middle of my picture Brian
Wellow seems quite mellow.
Chris: Well according to this fellow
Lovely landscape that works well in B&W!
Chris: This is south of Bath Tom but the Cotswold Hills officially start here, running north as far as Chipping Campden..

Love the landscape, great clouds... I hope that this year will take you over many hills and along many routes and canals. Have a good year Big Bro, with a lot of good/silly/nonsense/B&W/Coloured pictures....
Chris: I will try to take your advice lovely Little Sis XX
