An excellent reason to be cheerful, looking at this fine landscape and knowing you can go back whenever you want to

Now there's a fine view and a good composition, too, with the leading of the field on the left. No doubt you can't wait for such days to return but just imagine how beautiful it would be with some snow cover (except the white house would not be visible wink )
Chris: I think of this largely as a summer location with fine linear and circular Wansdyke walks available
That would do it for me.
Chris: I'm sure it would Mary

Pretty much like the weather here this morning ;o) Mind you I expect rain later on - the clouds are gathering.

Fine shot of the Horse.
Chris: Merci Mike: it has been a wonderful & sunny day here in Bath
Our lovely English scenery is always a reason to be cheerful, just like this as it happens.

Chris: Thank you Peter
Bill isn't daft Chris... he's singing part the song:

"Reasons To Be Cheerful"

by Ian Dury & The Blockheads

Chris: I didn't know that Peter
Yup - that's a good reason, Chris - apart from the white horse, I guess it could be out in the States somewhere!
Chris: Probably a different scale to the U S of A Tom
Thanks for the reminder, Chris! So right, you are!
Chris: A pleasure Elizabeth
bit of Ian Dury, I expect...
