I suppose it must be fun!
Chris: Oh it is, especially for old blokes with cameras..
They've been through a time warp!
Chris: Bath can be a bit like that Frank..

Where do you find 'em, Chris? I never do
Chris: I make a point of walking around looking Lisl, sometimes this can take hours..
Two different worlds before their very eyes!
Chris: And worth recording Ginnie

I hadn't realised that Cote Brasserie goes back to such regal days. I'm surprised that we had heard of France then.
Chris: It was a far away country of which we knew little..

I always smile when you spot these people... I have to say I think 'over the small pond' they dress up more than we do.. well spotted, two worlds indeed and LOL @ Lisl...
Chris: Bath seems to have evolved into a place where dressing up is an accepted norm Astrid - which, from my point of view, is a good thing
In the old days Tiff, the rich seemed to be big show offs.
Chris: Unlike today Chad when they're self effacing and never showing off their material posessions

Bonjour beau Nash with his entourage. We are in Bath, of course!
Chris: Naturally we are Philine: where else?
More Bath fruit cakes
Chris: I cannot explain who these people are or what they are doing, apart from dressing up, that is..

Just about to pop in for a new carving knife perhaps?

Clothes for men certainly had a bit more swagger then, these days everything is beige, grey or black.
Chris: We have become a nation of black-blue-grey, which is slightly depressing really when you consider the possibilities

Beau Nash lacked even French, the courtly linqua franca, and he employed a French dance master as his assistant.
Chris: I think he was more rough-and-ready as a personality than we would like to believe Philine..
Seems they are strolling to France.
Chris: Well they might be doing just that for all we know..
Is there ever a day that goes by without somebody or other walking the streets of bath dressed up in old style clothing?
Chris: Probably not Brian
it would be quite something, if a cellphone beeped somewhere in their costumes, Chris
Chris: Oh dear, that would never do Ayush..
