I came to this via my site, but I see your thumbnail is now active
Chris: Thank you Lisl, I think something happened down in the bowels of the website to make this image a non-picture

I've not looked at the thumbnails yet so can't comment on that aspect. I'm please to hear, though, that St. Edith is well although I have to confess that I did know she had been ill.
Chris: I am pleased to say she is in full spirits
LOL at Alan... a curious well...
Chris: And let us not forget that Alan is a curious bloke too Larry..
That's a relief I had been really worried about her
Chris: Yes well..
I like the twist on the word 'well' by Alan and Bill in their comments n this rather strange memorial site.
Chris: Bill & Alan are strange people, if that helps Brian
St. Edith’s Day is on Sunday Chris... i looked up the history about it online...
i don't know why this place is marked with a plaque and fenced in...
the information i read said that the well was a protected site....petersmile
Chris: The original well is under the ground here Peter, we are hoping it can be re-opened
Seems rather a pity to treat it like that?
Chris: This vandalism is a legacy of the 1970s Tom. The well was Bristol's earliest supply of fresh water.
LOL at Alan - what a wit!
