GOD'S GIFT

Be pleased you are not an innocent wench in Halesworth, Suffolk. For if you were to be that unfortunate person it would be this man who would be pursuing you through those historic streets every day.

For he is your friend Dickie Trim, lounge-lizard extraordinaire, the scourge of convention, the enemy of the notion that old age slows you down or diminishes appetite.

Today is his 70th birthday. We wish him good cheer and continuing notoriety..

So oily you could squeeze enough of it out of him to give your car a fresh sump-full!

A sort of Jack Nicholson, without the shelf full of Oscars...

Etc...
Chris: Who needs mere Oscars when you can pull crumpet like our Dick Ray..

Oh, I have to study my dictionary to understand your homage to Mr. Trim - I wish him the best life can spend even at that age and continuing fame on SC and elsewhere!
Chris: He intends to keep it up for many years yet Philine

The French lady Martine found the right words!
Chris: She could be besotted with him already without them even meeting Philine
The man is a legend ... I think that is the right word...man
Chris: Perhaps force-of-nature is the term for which we are groping?

I see he was trying to turn the clock back. Best Wishes to the Birthday Boy!
Chris: He can do no wrong

Happy Birthday Mr Trim.

There seems to be a strange alien glow resulting in the need for sunglasses in the sitting room...
Chris: He is probably more alien than you realise CherryPie..
Looking good!
Chris: A god of a man
