Jolis pommeaux de cannes. Certains sont très originaux.
Chris: Some look to be genuinely old Martine

You need to acquire a set for Benchy, and then it can go for evening walks with you along the canal paths, Tiffo.
Chris: I think dear old Benchy is on its last legs Ray, and soon I'll be in the same state...drool

Haha - a funny subject! In Germany some elderly walkers like to fix plaques on their sticks.
Chris: In case they forget who they are?

An old nursey rhyme while going as group:

Ein Hut
ein Stock
ein Regenschirm
und vorwärts
rückwärts
seitwärts
ran
und eins
und zwei
und drei
und vier
und fünf
und sechs
und sieben
und acht
ein Hut ...
Chris: Thank you Philine

I would like the one with the animal's head on it; naturally mine would be a sheep. Of course, it is still YEAR away before I will need such help.
Chris: I think this is a mere deer dear..
We will probably all need one of these one day
Chris: Yes - a great pot of 'em because we'll keep losing the damn things..
A fine collection, Chris, a monopod would be more useful...
Chris: I take your point Frank
None with a duck head? I have sold a few that I found, carved and painted but whenever I buy one, it will be a duck head.
Chris: Thank you Mary
A fine selection there Chris.
Chris: Variety is the spice of life Brian

I love these Chris - it's inspired me to look for the collection that I've got in the attic. Wish me luck - I may be some time!
Chris: OMG Penny - if you go into the attic we may NEVER SEE YOU AGAIN!!
Raising canes...
Chris: Good aren't they Larry

Would a London bus be considered a mobility aid?
Chris: Weeeeell...yes I suppose it would
I love ornamental cane's... one of my patient's is the former chief of the Supai tribe that live in the bottom of the Grand Canyon - he has a collection of cane's - one that is a beautifully carved piece from Tibet!
Chris: That sounds marvellous Elizabeth. I always think of Tibetan things as having special properties
