Two anxious blokes starting a queue at the nicely unlabelled "Clinic For Travellers' Rashes"...how discrete and cultured is that!
Chris: There are certain things you don't want to shout about in life..

It will be a long wait by the look of the absence of other people there who know that the building is closed....
(Is this the place where Comrade Trim talked the owner into giving you the private tour....)
Love the symmetry and the benches look inviting..
Chris: It is that very place Astrid, the poor woman was mere putty in his hands - as we say in English
Un joli contraste entre la partie centrale et les deux autres
Chris: Thank you kindly Martine
Waiting for.... ?
It's odd how the center of the building looks like an afterthought
Chris: Chad had taken Bill, Richard & myself there to this charming museum celebrating the works of artist Stanley Spencer. But when we got there we found it to be closed for the day. The Trim-treatment was then applied to the custodian, through her letterbox, and she gave us all a private viewing
Hmmmm. Waiting can be such a bother. (sigh) But at least they're first in line?
Chris: There is never a dull moment when we Fantastic Four are together Ginnie

waiting for ...? The only thing I know are the names of the two gentlemen. If Dickie would have stood a bit more right of the door, the symmetry would have been perfect.
Chris: He cannot always be trusted to do the right thing..
When one is with the great Sir Richard, one can be reassured that his smooth talking cheek will ensure that doors will be opened.
Chris: T'was ever thus I'm sure Chad

Interestingly the name & reputation of Stanley Spencer has been in the news today because his grandson has discovered a previously unknown book of his early sketches

I aint friends with any one who calls me Dickie...hee hee
Chris: Quite so Dick
Comrade Dickie is being sensitive I see. Still he did manage to blag our way in!
Chris: Comes as second nature to the old smoothie doesn't it..
It is a charming building with the style to look like thatched roof. Is the center a chapel?
Chris: It is an art gallery Mary

Sorry, Mr. Trim, I learnt the word Dickie on SC and thought it would be a gentle nickname. In Gemrany I would never dare say 'Dickie' because it would refer to the word 'Dick'= thick.
Chris: Dick in English can allude to a certain part of the male anatomy Philine
classic pose chaps. Love the house too ..!
Chris: Thank you Rob, they were waiting to enter the gallery inside

So which one of them has lost the key?
Chris: Neither Anne. The place was closed but Mr Trim persuaded the lady who runs the place to open it specially for us
a most interesting find...
Chris: For which we can thank Chad Larry. We can also thank him for taking us there on a day when the place was closed..
it's an interesting photo of them waiting Chris... it's great that Trim turned on his charm to get you a private tour of the museum...
i enjoyed Stanley Spencer's pastel portraits... thanks for the link....petersmile
Chris: A pleasure Peter
