J'aime beaucoup le dôme que l'on voit dans le fond.
Chris: The dome - and just about everything else - was destroyed in the 1945 bombing of the City. But now, as you can see, restoration has ensured the spirit of Dresden has arisen from the ashes of war

you captured a wonderful angle- a view on the reconstructed Frauenkirche! Her Majesty spent the golden star above the couple as I remember.
Chris: I am very glad I never saw this place devastated Philine. When Chad & I first went there several years ago the Frauenkirche had been rebuilt and re-consicrated
To think all this was rebuilt!
Chris: Amazing isn't it
Shame the same couldn't have been done by this nation with the cathedral at Coventry, different mind set among the decision makers presumably.
Chris: Very much so Brian, we are less thorough

This is beautiful and to be honest, I am checking into places to go with Ginnie a few days to Dresden in June... (her birthday).
Chris: You would LOVE Leipzig, Erfurt or Dresden Astrid, they are all wonderful
They maintained the old charm of the architecture in Dresden after it was destroyed during WW II Chris...
this is a nice point of view....petersmile
Chris: Glad you like it Peter
