Are we walking to the tower, today, Chris?
Chris: Gawd no Ray, you can just see it as a pimple on the horizon

Good point on the skyline to get orientated by, Chris
Chris: Taken from Inwoods Lisl
This feels very much like a watercolor, Chris!
Chris: I take your point Elizabeth

Yes, I see Alfred's tower in the background - a great view!
Chris: This nearly ended up as a b&w Philine but colour is an improvement
We have our monuments Tiff, but I'm not going to brag about them any more.
Chris: There is one celebrating the salt industry in Droitwich Spa Chad
wonderful photo!
Chris: Thank you very much Roland, the tower, just visible, is many miles away
the first thing that struck me was how someone had appeared to run a finger across the screen and cleared away the clouds, Chris.
Chris: Hahaha - if only I had that power Ayush

I will have to take your word for that being a tower, let alone Alfred's one.
Chris: Taken from near Winsley toward the tower which is just visible on the skyline near Mere

I really like how the colour fades as you move to the skyline, it looks an impressive view.
Chris: Thank you Anne. This was taken a couple of months ago, things have greened-up a bit since then

Would that be Alfred's Tower near to Stourhead?
Chris: Indeed so, it can be seen from many a mile. I remember being on a hill fort in Dorset once and catching a glimpse of it
I took some pictures from the top of King Alfred's tower a few years ago
Chris: I hope they were of EXCEPTIONAL quality..

I took lots of pics when I was there the other day, Chris (on my way from you to Crewkerne). I'll post some after the CAKE sequence!
Chris: In several months time then..
I had to Google Alfred's Tower, Chris, and assume it's KING Alfred's Tower in Somerset? These are the things I keep learning from you who are our English friends!
By the way...I see you don't have an image queued for today. Is that by choice or a SC error (which happened not too long ago with Ray, which is why I'm asking).
