I am guessing your toes were numb, Chris.
Chris: No Ray, I had thick woollen socks and sturdy hiking boots on my feet, for I am an outdoor all-action guy

I wished we had a bit more of wintertime.
Chris: I long for springtime, warmth and lengthening days Philine..
A rare frost for this winter
Chris: We had a few good uns but not many
Memories of the soon-to-be-forgotten red brick Admiralty places in Bath Tiff?
Chris: I think it's all historical fact now Chad
That is one frosty morning. I bet the mice slept in that morning.
Chris: And who could blame them

OH... you've had winter! Was that this year or from previous years? I've given hope of having in decent winter down here near the Mediterranean but I'm hoping to have them if I move north (i.e above the M4 corridor). A lovely scene.
Chris: This is slightly south of the M4, winter lasted about a day hereabouts. Civil servants used to "work" in the brick buildings in the foreground but it was decided to pull the lot down in the name of efficiency & common sense
A striking landscape with the frost and what a fine looking church on the right, I don't think that is the Abbey though is it?
Chris: It isn't the Abbey Brian but a parish church on the outskirts of Bath
What were you thinking ? smile
Chris: Memories of where I used to live up on the far hill and memories of the MOD in Bath..
Your response to Ray makes me think of the Pythons lumberjack song smile
Chris: Hahaha - I an see why Tom
Good ones - no doubt... and fortunately, this kind of cold is usually just a memory for you!
