These Northerners are a shy lot, Chris!
Chris: I shall have to check my notes, the picture might have been taken not in the Northern Powerhouse but in Richard Trim's conservatory..
We get no sun up int' North tha' knows.....
Chris: My good friend Mr A Rolfe, a frequent visitor to the north, experiences nothing but incessant rain anywhere above Watford Gap
I like how you composed this, Chris.
Chris: Thank you Frank

They look a bit chilly, Chris
Chris: I deliberately didn't show the more liberated examples of sculpture here in Liverpool's Walker Gallery Lisl lest certain members of the Shutterchance community should become over-excited..

Oh, I like these statues - looking so erotic!
Chris: There were many more like this in the Walker Gallery in Liverpool Philine
Good piece of social work here Tiff. Clothes were not always easy to come by for the impoverished northern folk.
Chris: You've got to feel for them Chad
What are those seated ladies going to do to that woman's backside, Chris.
Chris: I think your guess is as good as mine Mary

I truist that the heating was working with these scantily-clad figures. It can be quite nippy north of Watford.
Chris: It certainly can but I never go that far north normally
The two on the right aren't too sure about this liberation lark
Chris: And who can blame them..
I presume they are turned more or less facing the wall to preserve their modesty, or in case some grubby minded schoolboys should happen by.
Chris: This could give grubby minded schoolboys impure thoughts Brian

Cupido as a Shepherd by John Gibson (1790-1866)
Chris: Bravo Philine!
Haven't managed to get to the Walker Gallery....was it good or just full of old junk like this?
Chris: Mostly paintings - brilliant, and just by Lime Street station too
A nice bit of drapery!
Chris: Clever stuff eh Tom!
They are beautiful sculptures and your treatment suits the scene Chris....petersmile
Chris: Thank you kindly Peter
