Love it, Chris!

Especially the Bishops' staves in the carriage...must be a gawd train.
Chris: Yup - if you've been spotless, which you haven't but Mr Dufftown and this bloke have been, it'll whisk you straight to paradise
i have been on railcars with rich wood like this Chris...
now they are all made of tin....petersmile
Chris: They've no character these days like this Peter
I love the wood! But the mannequins gotta go! smile
Chris: One of the mannequins is a Shutterchancer
So, Elizabeth has confirmed for me that it's NOT a real man. HA! Had me guessing there for a minute, Chris. smile
Chris: But if you look you can see a real one Ginnie..

Great shot. LOVE the light and the wood. Wonder when the gentleman will sit down so that the train can leave....
Chris: Probably never Astrid, he's stuck in a timewarp
A fine old carriage. The elderly seated waxwork figure is remarkably like Chad
Chris: It must be one of his distant family

Oh yes, I recognise the Shutterchancer!
Chris: Of course you do Philine

Was this taken in Oldham?
Chris: This was taken in Liverpool
That could be Bill, if he lived up North and had to work for a living. Hang on, that's me in the distance Tiff.
Chris: Yes it is you Chad. The idea that Bill could live in the north and work for a living is like saying Alan Rolfe likes to be in the middle of the desert
It may be a powerhouse but you have shown us very unhealthy looking people. I don't know what is in the water there.
Chris: Oh that's easy - everything is..

One of the carriages from HS2? I never saw this when I was a nipper as the north started just south of Winchester in those days.Mind you; even today, the north starts just south of Newbury.
Chris: The Midlands (Gloucestershire) starts just up the road from us
Nice glimpse of how some of used to travel Chris. Chad looks at home there.
Chris: Old fashioned at redundant, yes he does Janet
I only ever remember this railway from reading about it in books and magazines.
Chris: Same here Brian, it had gone by the end of the 1950s
i would not mind a ride on this vehicle, Chris
Chris: A piece of history now Ayush
A rare catch of the railway zombie - you'll be famous, Chris!
Chris: Fame at last then..
