I wished to compare & contrast these followers of the Jane Austen Festival with the model in the picture.

Seems maybe they all got in the way...
Chris: Maybe they did Elizabeth but don't you like their clothes?

Nice contrast, Chris
Chris: I am obliged to you Lisl
How dare he sir, by Jove, we think that lady in her underwear needs to be seen.
Chris: Maybe I should have waited until all these preposterously dressed people moved on Chad
I bet the model does not have a smile even if we could see her face.
Chris: I expect to smile would be deemed as uncool

He was probably more interested in the model in the photo. In wonder if we had pornographic posters in the Jane Austen's time just how would these ladies be displayed?
Chris: That is an interesting question

They do all look rather grand, perhaps they look like the lady in the window once they get home.
Chris: Now that is a VERY INTERESTING thought Brian..
Quite a contrast... the man on the left looks born to the part...
Chris: He could be you Larry!
THey must have had to plan going to bed about 2 hours in advance in those days
Chris: Are you saying a quickie would have been a longie??
What proportion of the Bath population gets dressed up like this?
Chris: Virtually none of us Tom. These people, here dressed up for the Jane Austen Festival, are probably Americans
i like them both Chris....petersmile
Chris: For obvious reasons: thank you Peter
I like the costumes.
Chris: People love dressing up at the Jane Austen festival in Bath
