What was the occasion. LOVE the light here, Chris.
Chris: Every year on November 5 we have Bonfire Night to record the capture of the gunpowder plotters, leader Guy Fawkes, who nearly succeeded in blowing up parliament Astrid

a magic image with a slight surrealistic flair à  la Chirico.
Chris: I am glad you approve Philine
I used to love bonfire night but it is not the same any more now that Halloween has been imported
Chris: I feel the same. If you're wondering where Chad is, we are away together and his iPad has died
One of your most impressive shots, Chris. I would have a bonfire tonight but reading Janet's post I feel it would be celebrating against the pope. I am not against anyone.
Chris: The plotters were Catholics Mary but there is no religious element in this modern tradition
A wonderful image for Bonfire night Chris.
Chris: Thank you Janet, not as good as yours though..

When I was a nipper, there was only firewaorks on 5 November. Now they seem to be nightly from around 15 October through to 14 October! When photographing one lot of fireworks around 5 years ago, I ended up causing £300 of damage to my car when I caught theunderside of my car on a produding object.
Chris: Sounds like when you live atop a wind-blasted Scottish mountain you will be able to happily escape from all of this then

Great capture Chris. Bonfire night is no longer what it used to be in those good old days when we were children smile
Chris: Not in the slightest Anne
And a very good image it is too. Sadly it is raining hard here this evening so I guess it will be a bit of a damp squib! Sorry about the pun!
Chris: Here in Bath it is damp but not wet Brian
oh yes, Chris. reminds me of that movie V for Vendetta.
Chris: Thank you very much Ayush
WOW! Now there's some color!
