Something was going to happen here in this chic little Bath cinema, a premiere of some sort perhaps?

Might be a fun place.
Chris: Oh I think it is Hollie
an opening of a new play is my guess Chris... the red carpet looks a bit shopworn....petersmile
Chris: It's the thought that counts Peter, I suppose..

Pity you couldn't hang around and find out who walked up that poor old carpet, Chris
Chris: Maybe an A List celebrity Lisl?

A sort of a Frank Nellie event, I deduce, Chris.
Chris: You could be right Ole Sport..
Apparently it is used for weddings with the staff dressed up in 1930's style
Chris: I am obliged to you
Préparation de fête ?
Chris: Probably a secular wedding Martine

The carpets are a bit moth eaten, Chris. I'd be a tad disappointed if this were my wedding.
Chris: Maybe its for someone having a third stab

If you'll excuse the expression..
I'm wondering if this explains all Chris, it would certainly explain the floral arch across the door http://www.littleweddings.co.uk/http___web.me.com_littleweddings_Site_Welcome_to_Little_Weddings.html/Welcome_to_Little_Weddings.html
Chris: Yes I think you have it Brian!

Didn't you wait and see what happened next Chris? smile
Chris: Too busy Anne I'm afraid..
Certainly something going on!
Chris: If Philine says it's a wedding, it's a wedding..

Perhaps it's really a wedding? If no-one comes, at least the carpet has turned up.
Chris: And they could drag a couple of strangers from the street and marry them
I think A Little Wedding is advertised. The arch of flowers gives it away.
