I love the treatment, it makes one feel nostalgic.
Chris: That was the plan Hollie: thank you

I have no difficulty in imagining myself engaged in that activity in this place, Chris.
Chris: Nor I Ray. I could not imagine you swimming across it but walking the towpath - yes

I expect to see working boats in a view such as this. I like the shadows of the fencing; it provides a lead0in to the chap strolling along.
Chris: The final working boats disappeared circa 1951, back in the days when you & I were merely middle aged. Dereliction soon followed..

along the Kennet-Avon- Channel at Bathampton? I love this sepia treatment and this quiet scene!
Chris: Not Bathampton Philine: this is Widcombe where the canal shortly joins the river Avon

You have let me see this stretch in a new light, Chris. (When I walk home from the station, I choose this route)
Chris: It is a favourite of mine too Lisl
Nicely aged and a well composed picture. I really like this
Chris: I had to spill a lot of coffee over the picture to obtain this effect

Past times, Chris. It's lovely and calming.
Chris: As it was meant to be: thank you Pauline
Quite a pleasing, almost timeless view Tiff.
Chris: Maybe I should have used creosote instead of koffie Chad..
A classic composition made better with the sepia. Loverly.
Chris: Thank you Mary
One of your best, Chris...
Chris: Oh - you have made me BLUSH Larry!
