He is likely to be a real character! Oh, I could join you both along the canal - yes, there are also some creepy, spooky narrowboats.
Chris: You have been to this place Philine

I like his hare stick, and he almost looks like an old grey hare himself
Chris: I think he was rather proud of his appearance Lisl

This is a wonderful portrait of this greet looking English Gentleman, too bad we did not have time to have a longer conversation with him. I think he was quite a story teller. We had a great walk along the canal and they served a good kopje koffie.
Chris: Indeed so Astrid. It was wonderful being with you, have a "good time" today..

I must say again, Chris, how I do like your idea of a "yesterday" picture each day
Chris: I don't do it each day Lisl, only Mon-Thurs. If I made myself do this every single day I would either go mad or have to miss posting from time to time
He looks like he was an interesting person to come across and chat to Chris. That's a wonderful stick he's got
Chris: A wonderful thing with a hare's head carved on the top
He seems quite pleased to be photosnapped Tiff. The word 'deepcut' has sour undertones these days.
Chris: Yes it does Chad

Love the stick with the hare on it, Chris. He looks a real character.
Chris: Very much so Pauline, canals tend to attract people like him

I think he looks as if he liked talking to Astrid ...
Chris: Everybody does Comrade
A smashing picture of this character, Chris.
Chris: Much obliged Frank
Other than the hair on his head this looks like a friend of mine. My friend is bald but has a fine mustache. Their faces are identical.
Chris: A long lost brother perhaps?

An aptly-named vessel. Did he encourage you to walk the plank?
Chris: Not quite but he was very happy to pose

A fine looking gentleman
Chris: The real deal Robbyne
Ohhhh this is good... What a find. What a head tilt.
Chris: You can tell he liked being photographed!
He is indeed a wonderful looking man - great shot!!!
Chris: Thank you Elizabeth, this is all thanks to Astrid, who engaged him in conversation
What one would call a bit of a character.
Something very peaceful about this photo! Lovely!
