The tablecloth is wrinkled, as are the diners...
Chris: But they are enjoying their meal Larry
the two have occupied a quiet spot to enjoy their meal, Chris. but not much of a conversation seems to be taking place.
Chris: I expect they've said it all over the past sixty years Ayush..
She makes you wonder what's out the window.
Chris: I expect she has looked out of it many times before..
They're a sweet old couple Chris... after being together for that long there isn't much more to day...

he must have been hungry... you caught the motion of his hand to his mouth... and he has two ears on this side of his headgrin
Chris: Thank you Peter: they are growing old gracefully together
A mild action shot, Chris!!
Chris: Yes Elizabeth - I didn't have to run to get this shot!

Absolute fabulous shot... we can make a whole story with this picture. I do hope though there was some conversation or I hope they enjoyed in silence....
I just notice that the man is about to put something in his mouth, nice movement here in the picture smile
Chris: Thank you Astrid: this was taken in a pub in Droitwich Spa when I was having lunch with Bill & Chad

Obviously their reserved corner, Chris - I bet they dine here every week
Chris: I would not be at all surprised Lisl
I remember these two in the Hop Pole
Chris: And I remember you too
What a sweet, private moment, Chris. I especially love that they're drinking beer!!! grin
Chris: Indeed so Ginnie, not everybody does, and that includes myself..
I like this scene Tiff. I see many pubs that offer reduced price senior meals for pensioners. A great opportunity for them to get out of the house and go to a social location and enjoy a good meal. I like the lady's elegant glass of beer.
Chris: Good isn't it Chad

Good to see them enjoying a liquid lunch, too. Were they reserved?
Chris: I don't think they were

Two ears on one side - he must have copped some bullying at school. Nasty little Englishmen wouldn't let that go by.

And they have basic manners. No talking while chewing.
Chris: Sorry about the ears Louis - technical glitch..
A pub lunch, one of the joys with being retired, then a tearoom for mid-afternoon refreshments.
Chris: Quite so fellow retiree!

Delightful ...
Chris: Thank you Richard
I've noticed that it's only the pensioners who can afford to eat out these days!
Chris: I'll see you down the café then Tom..
