Chris: It looks like it but this is pretty modern Philine: the river Avon in Bristol

I learn a whole new vocabulary here... The tide is coming in rapidly, I think it should make a move fast or it will....blub...blub...blub....be underwater...
Great shot BTW.
Chris: I could teach you lots of new words Astrid - some of them are VERY RUDE ones I learned from Ray Storey!
You saw some things in Bristol we obviously never quite made it to, Chris. So thanks for continuing our adventure.
Chris: A pleasure Ginnie

I think I have seen this building from the train. Fine shot with the bend in the river. Tiffdog indeed.
Chris: The building ahead is opposite Temple Meads station Mike
Gloomy, Chris, I like the bird though...
Chris: I just couldn't resist the bird Frank
It is obvious not everyone thinks this is dereliction. There is a fine and lovely bird here who thinks his world is beautiful. Look at all that mud to find worms in.
Chris: The river here is Tidal Mary, hence all that mud
Yes it looks like "has been" corner with civilisation around the bend. The bird is looking rather lonely
Chris: It is in a world of its own Janet
Your choice of B.& W.really does make this place feel really down in the dumps.
Chris: A real touch of the Blackdogs eh Brian!
This is ridiculous Tiff. No, not the photograph or the dereliction, but that funny bird like thing.
Chris: Never seen one like it before Chad

The bird is standing its ground in the mud. Tiffdog - yes, it is a really good picture.
Chris: I think the bird is made of concrete Louis
Pretty gloomy, eh?
Chris: Not a bit like happy Sheffield Tom
your title sums it up nicely Chris, and appropriate b/w treatment for this shot, imo
Chris: Thank you kindly Ayush

Your effective treatment really brings all the dereliction to the fore Chris
Chris: Thank you Anne, this miserable piece of central Bristol needed little tweaking..
this is well framed at the bend in the river Chris... it looks even more desolate in b&w....petersmile
Chris: Thank you kindly Peter

I like the challenge that the derelict buildings give each other ... get rid of that effing bird
Chris: I'll chuck it in the river then
