Very large church, isn't it? The trees provide a very nice filter from the blinding sun you must've had that day
Chris: This was taken on one of the very few fully sunny days we've had so far this year Elizabeth, in late February

This photo could make my day - I never heard of Mells/Somerset before - Happy Easter!
Chris: Mells is the burial place of war poet Siegfried Sassoon Philine, I'm sure you must have heard of him

Very agreeable, too; the light is very special.
Chris: I am obliged 2 U, O Great One
I had to google Mells as I have never heard of it. It looks like a bit of a gem
Chris: It is a simply gorgeous place, which is why most of us wouldn't be able to afford to live there in a month of Easter Sundays
Mel must be loaded to have a home like this.
Chris: Indeed so Mary..
Looking good through the winter trees Chris
Chris: Taken at the end of February Janet, only now is it starting to warm up!

...Chris! I mean, Chris, Chris!

[Christ without the t]
Chris: Same surname tho'
What a fine church tower, almost the splitting image of the one at the church I grew up in when I was young. I am familiar with Mells although I haven't been there, the company I worked for until retirement had an office and conference centre there.
Chris: It's a pretty place Brian. By co-incidence today is their annual daffodil festival
A lovely spot - I too, had to Google it - a fascinating history.
Chris: Olde Englande at its best Tom

I took a picture from almost this spot just two days ago (before the Big Daffodil Day), but the sun didn't shine for me
