This is such a great picture, love the red coats. I think the teacher will have red eyes tonight, counting those kids all day....
Great composition, you were quick on your feet smile
Chris: I am like a well greased snake as I slither around Bath's streets looking for victims Astrid
the professor looks like the protector... with the scarf flying across his shoulder... taking charge of his group of smiling students out for an adventure Chris....petersmile
Chris: Often I wonder where they come from and are headed Peter..

Oh, a teacher and his class - but only boys in uniform - surely a public school? - a lovely picture which reminds me of my own time as teacher.
Chris: Without any doubt these are public school people Philine
Awwwww. How charming, Chris. I can picture them going back to school and having choir class next. grin
Chris: That is a real possibility Ginnie

I see that he takes all of the class out for a walk so that he could buy himself a cake. It could have been me Tiff.
Chris: If only you had become a teacher just imagine the effect on the upcoming generation Chad..

I'm sure they will be visting the Roman Baths. The boys have forgotten to take their gloves with them, the teacher is wearing gloves, it might be rather cold.
Chris: A wintertime shot Philine..

Hmm ... posh priveledged public school pupils.[grin]

Almost a timeless image; almost something out of Dickens. So good that it unnecessary to walk the kids through the streets without them all having to wear hi viz vests. Expect a knock on the door, though, and have the police arrest you for taking photos of children. Ask them to fix your computer before they return it to you.
Chris: Gulp!
Always fun to get out of the classroom.
Chris: Indeed so Janet. I've been out for half a century now!

I don't see the boys smiling, they are 'in the fear of the Lord' as we say. Mr. E. Frank is so right "Everything says 'England', Mr. Teach has surely an Oxford accent in his speech.
Chris: BBC English at the very least Philine..

When we next meet you can tell me about the accents of Germany, and what they betray to the trained ear
At least with those bright red jackets the boys don't have to wear the dayglo jackets all the schools round my way insist on when they take the kids out in public. This has a great feel to it with the old buildings round them.
Chris: Public school kids out for the day Brian
On their way to the Roman Baths?
Chris: Probably Tom
