[Tell me you played on this apparatus for ages, Chris...whooping and yahooing like a 10 year old!]
Chris: I sure did Ray!
Terrific composition!
Chris: Thank you kindly Elizabeth
Looks like this is Glastonbury
Chris: Well I did include that UNIQUE thing call the Tor to give you a clue!

What a gorgeous, old tree - I saw some of them in the gardens of East Anglia- but here we are near the Tor of Glastonbury. I love old trees and I like your photo very much.
Chris: This is an ancient sweet chestnut tree Philine, a personal favourite

Now there's a tree thats been around for a century or two I should think. It should be cherished, I think, and not used a plaything. Did you have a go on the swing?
Chris: I'm not tall enough, the terrible effects of having my new harem (Facebook) has taken its toll on my stature..
very creative Chris. great winter image
Chris: Thank you very much Ronky
this is a magnificent tree Chris and a fantastic landscape too
Chris: Thank you kindly Ayush: a magical place

Looks fun. That's the sort of swing I used to hang upside-down from when young. It was probably a good treatment for the brain, so perhaps I should try it again!
Chris: Nothing wrong with your brain Penny. I have an ambition to take you to Glastonbury and walk to the top of the Tor, an experience you would love.
Looks like a good tree to climb, too...
Chris: After you Larry..
Lovely old tree, very old in fact looking at the collapsed branches, and going by the wear on the bank a much used swing as well.
Chris: A good old fashioned swing too!

Lovely picture of a wonderful looking tree. Did you have a go on the swing?
Chris: No Anne, I'm too old to play the fool..
No doubt much used in the summer hols - in such times we built a raft on the River Wear - called it the "Nosmo King" - it was partly made from a door that had "No smoking" written on it
Chris: Happy days eh Tom!

Usually these tree swings have a body on the ground with broken ankles
Chris: A gruesome thought Comrade!
What a magnificent tree and the swing is a treat too.

I would swing on that, although I don't know that it would hold me but I would give it a good try...
