I hope no-one tries to poke trash in his lens, Chris.
Chris: No one would dare to do that Ray
He's got all the right equipment... and so does she!
Chris: Quite so Elizabeth, they are both well loaded

Great scene here. LOL @ Ray....

Chris: Maybe she has the chips in the silver bag round her neck Astrid..

I think you have beaten him to the decisive moment ... Is that her tongue she is about to point at you.
Chris: Err..that's what it looks like

Oh, you have got some street photographer rivalry! Bath is a very clean city! I assume the lady is a Russian?
Chris: Yes she could be Russian. The photographer is adopting the professional-style look whilst I, in complete contrast, play the part of a confused old man..
I'll lick my lips to that, Chris. grin
Chris: Thank you Ginnie
This reminds me why I am buying a compact........
Chris: I sincerely hope you will never aspire to this man's image..

Must be a proper photographer - he has a tripod. Does your namesake use such an item?
Chris: Strangely enough I think he does have one somewhere, but there any similarity between this man and the Sage of Droitwich Spa ends abruptly..

...and hidden behind a litter bin or a Georgian style column in order not to be caught in the act - as voyeur.
Chris: Quite so Philine

Who is she poking her tongue out to?
Chris: A good question Pauline: maybe to my outrageous assertion that W J Phillips (no relation) takes photography seriously..
Her tongue sets it just right.
Chris: I think you are right Mary

Dressed in drag and clearly been shopping Tiff.
Chris: I thought Astrid's idea was a good one
A tripod means you are serious....
Chris: Indeed to does Frank, so my assertion that this is W J Phillips (no relation) must therefore be flawed..
Caught between two photographers. Must feel like a celeb
Chris: Her one moment of glory?
What's that funny thing he's got his camera attached to, perhaps I should get one and also a woolly hat, then i could call myself a professional.
Chris: And you have to dress all in black too..

He needs a hi-viz jacket. No one would pay any attention then!
Chris: Very droll sir - top marks!
Nah - not the right build for Bill smile
Chris: Too lean & hungry then?
Looks as though he is a tad serious smile
Chris: A bit OTT really John..
