Not too many takers for the Wacky Racers. Do the horses lift out of the frames? If the frames have to drag along the ground then they will get caught on the road setts. Did you point out his spelling error?
Chris: I did not feel too inclined to become involved on this cold winter day in Wells. Instead I retired to the bowels of the cathedral..

It doesn't seem to be appealing to any "little ones" on this day. They are all probably playing Grand Prix IV or some such game.
Chris: In a way this sort of thing his a hang over from prior times Mike

Another Alias of the child catcher from Chitty Chitty Bang Bang?
Chris: Could be Pauline..
I feel a bit sorry for him, Chris. Hopefully, he had a few paying customers that day.
Chris: Well I hoped so too Bev

I wonder what the little ones will peddle while they pedal
Chris: And would that be legal??
Pity he's not setting a good example by spelling "their" incorrectly smile
Chris: Indeed so Tom..
Original idea, but not exactly oversubscribed.
Chris: Quite
Racing at such an early age...
