You give a timely reminder that Spring is not far away, Chris.
Chris: We have the very first inklings here Ray, with a few winter flowers in evidence, which leads inevitably to better things
You're off to a good start... you could get a horse...
Chris: We actually have a few of those Elizabeth..

This will only make Ratty jealous, and then you will be sorry, Chris
Chris: Oh dear..

Perhaps you will be transformed into the Sleeping Beauty one day?
Chris: I don't know how to answer that Philine!
....and one with whom you can play Leap-Frog? Wouldn't that be nice, Chris. smile
Chris: Thank you Ginnie

Wow I am so glad that you got this one down before it leaped away.....
Make sure Ratty becomes friends with Froggy.... otherwise you have a problem.
Chris: Yes indeed Astrid - I must do all I can to avoid domestic conflict..

Hahahah!! The frog seems to like your attention judging by the smile on its face.
Chris: We are soul mates
I think you should get a Louisiana Catahoula Leopard Dog
Chris: Err..I think I should Google your suggestion before making any committments

All you need now is a small lake for a pond and lilies with leaves the size of dustbin lids.
Chris: Yes I suppose I do..
This one might work out.

I always suggest a couple of cats to someone looking for a pet but - you have a rat in the couch. To add a cat would result in a rat and two cats in the couch and you would have a very lumpy couch.
Chris: And ulimately a very smelly one..

I would have suggested an elephant, but I would worry about the bench in that case.
Chris: Yikes - it could get damaged!
Every thought of getting a pet rock?
Chris: Err yes, I mean no..
hmm not sure about this Chris... what is the Mrs saying about this?
Chris: I think I'd best go & ask her perhaps..
I'll bet he was heavier to cart home than your lost sofa ratty.
Chris: Indeed so Jacquelyn, much heavier
There's nothing wrong with one of these, cheap to feed, easy to groom, and always has a great big smile on its face.
Chris: Thank you for your support Brian
Looks like he could take you for a ride...
Chris: And that might be a thing that isn't good Larry

Unless of course you bought a bigger sofa
Chris: Lateral thinking - no more than I would expect from you Anne
I'm sure Ratty would like to meet Toad again, as long as he has mended his ways smile
Chris: Yes John - nice comment!
