I love this image, what is he preparing for?
Chris: He gets on the bike when painted white and is a human statue
Errr, for what...? It does make a nice shot, whatever, Chris.
Chris: Preparing to pose for tourists Frank

This is a great shot, I never saw 'a life statue' prepare. I always admire them, not that I want to switch places though....
Chris: Yes - what if you get an itch whilst posing??
we walk past these performers all the time and never realize how hard it is to get prepared for a street show... good catch Chris....petersmile
Chris: It's hard work being a showman like him Peter

Hopefully the bike should stand out quite well in the dark. I can remember haveing a bike with rod brakes; not good!
Chris: I do too - deadly!

He has that statue look to his face if you know what I mean. Stoic.
Chris: Indeed - he can do nothing for hours
How cool is that! It is like being back stage.
Chris: No one seems to notice him until he starts standing still
looks like you came across a ghost rider. Great capture Chris
Chris: An everyday sight here in Bath Janet

HeS making a right pigs ear of it Tiff.
Chris: Don't come the diced bacon with me Chad
I would like to see the moment when he is ready and climbs on the bike and suddenly freezes.
Chris: He has an interesting occupation Brian
I seem to recall seeing a purple cyclist in York some years ago. His brother perhaps?
Chris: That is a distinct possibility..
When set up they are very good, I couldn't stay still long enough.
Chris: Neither me Martin. What happens if you want to sneeze?
The things that people do! I wonder if they make much of a living at it?
Chris: Some days quite a bit, others next to nothing I expect Tom
Fascinating... I like the way the white tones stand out...
Chris: He paints himself and his bike white Larry

Should have done all this before he came out
Chris: I have no doubt whatever that you put yours on before you come out, if you will excuse that expression..

I'm sure this is not what Norman Tebbit meant by 'getting on your bike' smile
Chris: He is not following Norman's advice John
I always feel sorry for these living statues, Chris. They have such a hard job to do, not moving a muscle while the public stares them down.
Chris: Quite so Bev: a hard life
