what a wonderful place Chris... a beautiful harbour and a beach for the family to enjoy the water... i like the fancy lamp that you framed at the bottom of the image....petersmile
Chris: Thank you Peter: Lyme Regis is a popular resort on the south coast
Nice shot, Chris, I like your p.o.v. and the 'washed out' look. Is that the 'cob' of,' French Lieutenant's woman' fame?
Chris: It is indeed Frank, the ghost of Meryl Streep's character might still haunt the place..

I'm assuming by the people on the beach that this is not a shot from the past week or so? Do they still have the entrance to Lyme Regis International Airport along the prom?
Chris: This was taken around September. The international airport is next to the candy floss stall..
I like the seagull top right. A fine view of a charming place. Another one I haven't been too for quite a while
Chris: Worth a visit, except at the height of the season..

This is one place at the Jurassic coast I want to visit for a long time. A fine harbour with the piers and fine sands - but rather crowdy as I see. I like the gull quite above!
Chris: Very popular Philine, not to be visited in high summer unless crowds thrill you..

I think a visit during the winter gales of next January will give a better picture ... I'll see you there on the 18th Chris
Chris: Err..I'm busy!
An unusual looking place but a nice beach of sand by the looks of it. Lots of money sitting in the harbour.
Chris: Very much so Mary
You captured the haziness and tranquility very nicely Chris
Chris: Thank you Janet: a September scene
It all looks quite peaceful from this viewpoint.
Chris: In this photograph it is Brian
Looks like a popular spot. Where's the sun? Nice shapes > lol > I don't mean the people.
Chris: Unfortunately on the day I took this the sun was on holiday
A very different view of Lyme Regis. Must have been summer looking at the people on the beach.
Chris: September Suzanne, taken from the park up the hill

Those nautilus shell motifs on the lamp posts are rather fetching, Chris.
Chris: Indeed so Ray: thank you
