Are they open to visitors on their house boat?
Chris: Only if you bring a bottle of something nice

Ha Ha Ha

And...there is a whole fleet of 'em!
Chris: The notion of W J Phillips (no relation) doing something as energetic as this is risible..
this is the best framed picture of a long canal boat that i've seen yet Chris... and you didn't even need colour to achieve it....petersmile
Chris: Thank you Peter
They must be very nice people grin
Chris: It is not outside the realms of possibility that they are murderous child-eating savages on a rampage of torture & pillage

What a find, Chris
Chris: I think they thought I was mad when they observed me burst into laughter as they passed Lisl..

Wonderful. He's kept this venture very quiet. This looks likes boating for the softies though which such a cover over over the blunt end. People should man up!
Chris: This is his idea of vigorous exercise..

I can imagine your excitement at the sight of this Tiff, quickly whipping out your optical recording device.
Chris: I was larfing so much I'm surprised my hands were steady enough to work my equipment Chad

Clear infringement of your territory. I don't think you can let this pass without a commercial response in the Midlands. Any thoughts?

A lovely B&W mind you, a vision of peace and serenity.
Chris: No sky but the wake suffices to make it passable

I don't recall to have seen this beautiful narrowboat on the Kennet& Avon Canal, no wonder, Bill and Angie were still in sunny Droitwich. I read: "One of the biggest ever canal carp has been caught by Bill Phillips, this 41lb fully-scaled mirror from the Kennet and Avon Canal. Fishing from his narrow boat, Cyprinus Carpio, the Wiltshire-based retired production manager targeted an area which he had been baiting for the last couple of months."
Chris: He baits fish whilst his namesake baits the rest of us..
A chance in a million, Chris.
Chris: Quite so Pauline
What a find! Bill will probably request a copy for his trophy case.
Chris: You never know..

I'm not sure you can rampage on a narrow boat....
Bill - you'd better get one if as Ray says there's a whole fleet of them.
Chris: In might just be that his days of rampage are over Penny

....do you mean to say, there is another Bill Phillips on this globe???? Almost impossible and another Angie... grin.... Chance one in a gazillion.
Great shot, LOVE the B&W.
Chris: I found this SO FUNNY when it passed me in the cut Astrid!
You must have been tickled pink, as they say, when this came chugging past.
Chris: More than pink Brian!
Bill has been very quiet about this business enterprise.
Chris: Hmm - this would be a strenuous thing for him to do..
You got a great shot of this, Chris, good comp'.As you say, you couldn't make it up. smile
Chris: I'll look out for one with Frank & Elizabeth now..
And he drives as fast,i bet you had a drink when you got home.
Chris: I had to lie down in a dark room for a while..
