PEWSEY VALE

Apologies for those wishing to comment yesterday. I loaded a second rather silly picture of a melting ice cream van.

Then found I had obscured the reply apparatus and couldn't undo what I had done..

Full of loveliness, Chris...the foreground meadow in particular.

That Moral is the sort of nonsense that makes a Life dull...reject it, Lad!
Chris: I will take your advice and move as the spirit takes me

I agree life is more fun like that..

A beautiful wide sight - and I recall to have recently enjoyed such views in England (and in Munstershire last Saturday). Enjoy your day, hopefuly not too hot.
Chris: My chum Lady K comes from this part of Wiltshire Philine. It is wonderful: so is she!
Thinking has never been my strong suit.

The vale looks very inviting

Did you enjoy the storms last night?
Chris: I slept through the storms fortunately. I do not like this sort of weather.

I like the rather Chadesque intrusion of foliage into the right of the shot!
Chris: Quite so Mike - it's bad!
Stupid man ...

I like the trail created on the second from front hillock . people think that the sheep make them but of course we all know that it is created by soil creep. .... a characterstic of chalk lanscapes.
Chris: Of course it is
Can't get much more English than that, it's beautiful.
Chris: Thank you Brian, it is just that isn't it
It's what foreigners imagine when they hear "England" smile
Chris: Well I do when I listen to most of Elgar but I haven't worked out quite why this should be Tom. I suppose it's all subliminal stuff..
Where did the ice-cream van shot come from? A rather nice landscape
Chris: I put the ice cream van in at the last minute John, trying to be clever, but in doing so obliterated the comments bit and then I found I couldn't undo what I had foolishly done..

The melting ice cream van is wonderful - is it made of sand?
