Oh - I get it!
Wonderful shot, Chris! I love how you just caught him through that gateway!

More impressive than the biker are the two entrance gates - where do they lead to? Bill is right- an excellent photo -you become an expert in b&w photography!
Chris: This is one of the entrances to Victoria Park in Bath Philine. It was taken when the sun was low early in the morning as I prowled the streets, camera at the ready

'to prowl' is a nice word I never heard before - and you are an early bird capturing the worm!
Chris: I prowl the mean streets of Bath like a Jaguar in the urban jungle Philine
...and on a lovely, uncrowded day, it appears, Chris!
Chris: Before the huddled masses awake Ginnie

This is rather good. I'm so pleased that you are putting your tuition to good use. I like the position of the cyclist (upright, too, unlike some in the Tour de France). Tick, v.g.
Chris: It's a one cycle race, and guess who's winning
A very nice shot with that special morning light.
Chris: Thank you Mary

Oh, sorry, sorry, you have not built up ...
Chris: No I haven't
Love your description of prowling the mean streets of Bath like a Jaguar in the urban jungle, Chris.

Your walks certainly are providing you with some excellent photo opportunities.
Chris: These are the rewards of retirement Bev

Excellent picture. All this b&w is starting to distract me from the blackdog and blackpig. So now you are the blackjaguar?
Chris: Black-Jag Louis
Lovely treatment here Chris...
Chris: The low sun did it all for me Ronky
I like the way you've caught the cyclist in the archway.
Chris: That was what I planned Brian: thank you
Great shot, Chris - did he get lost by the Tour de France?
Chris: Yes I think he did Tom

As discussed in the pub, this is an excellent shot of the gates Chris, taken at the optimum moment.
