charming acrobats! We are in Bristol? What sort of building on the right? (our global world?)
Chris: This is Millenium Square in Bristol Philine. Wiki says - Millennium Square is home to a BBC Big Screen and a large water feature. A bronze statue of Bristol-born actor Cary Grant by sculptor Graham Ibbeson was unveiled by Grant's widow in 2001. Other bronze sculptures include William Penn, William Tyndale and Thomas Chatterton, all three by Lawrence Holofcener. There are also a number of small painted bronze Jack Russell terrier dogs, some of which are set into the paved surface, as if they were swimming
A unusual act in a very quiet venue Chris. Are they in training for the games?
Chris: I think they must have been training Scotia, there were quite a few more of them than these two

The pole dancing doubles is bound to be a big hit at the next Olympics!
Chris: The Olympics could be broadened to include pole dancing, parking and buying stuff at auctions
Given the way I feel of late, Chris, I, too, might say "IF ONLY." grin
Chris: You've got plenty of GO in you yet Ginnie!

Pole dancing? Did you give it a go? I thought at first we were somewhere in London Docklands as the hotel looks familiar but now I see this is Bristol.
Chris: Indeed so, Millenium Square, Bristol. I didn't demonstrate my skills because I did not want to give any of them an inferiority complex
Looks an unsteady contraption to swing around! I like your composition Chris smile
Chris: Thank you Martin
What is the big mirrored structure beside the gymnasts? Wrong shape but reminds me of Chicago's Bean.
Chris: It might be some sort of planetarium or similar..

The maypole dance outside a glass house. They must concentrate or things can get out of hand.
Chris: I had to concentrate lest things got out of hand too Louis
Pole dancing in the street hasn't reached Droitwich yet
Chris: Another reason not to live there
I've yet to see two to a pole, Chris, but this one looks to be quite stable and more than able to take the weight. They appear to be having a great time. You, no doubt, were as well.
Chris: I was indeed Bev. These two were part of a larger group
wow... you should watch last weekend Britain got Talent shot!
A plus girl doing this so well!
Chris: They are young and talented Ronky

It keeps you very fit you know Chris! i like the giant silver ball on the right
How did I miss this picture of young women in tight clothes doing athletic things round a pole. Rather like a dressed picture taken from an old edition of Health and Efficiency.
