THE JOYS OF ENHANCEMENT

A vast tanker containing millions of litres of pure Lightroom leaves Portbury loading facility, passing Clevedon, as illustrated here, and heads for Droitwich Docks, where it will be unloaded and the contents piped direct to the homestead of W J Phillips - who will need every last drop of the stuff to enhance his lovely pictures.

Are you suggesting ole Bill is pp'ing his images a bit, Chris?

Oh...the shame of it...
Chris: I didn't suggest in any way that he is improving them..
This is good in B&W! Did you shoot it with your 35mm and use B&W film - or did you enhance it in Lightroom?! smile
Chris: Err - Photoshop 6
This is a beautiful pier Chris and the people on shore give it scale.. that's a big bunch of Lightroom leaves heading to Droitwichsmile
....petersmile
Chris: Thank you Peter

The beach looks horribly spoilt by oil from the tanker -in my imagination Clevedon was such a lovely sea resort -but all things are changing. B&W is suiting this tristesse. Sorry, that I cannot react in a witty way on your remarks, but I'm a pure abd innocent greenhorn referring to lightroom, PS etc. - and I like Bill's pics from his sun town in Worcestershire.
Chris: The black part of the beach is little more than seaweed Philine. Clevedon (where I went for the rat show) is a charming old fashioned sort of resort
Bill , lovely pictures. This must be a mistake.
Chris: Do not say those two things in the same sentence!

Never mind all that - Clevedon pier is looking sublime. I was trying to persuade Ingrid to go again a couple of weeks ago but she declined.

Picture postcard perfect.
Chris: I am obliged to you: I have to say when this picture was taken on Saturday the weather was just about perfect in every way

A fine description of this important process Tiff. I admire the choice, and size, or border here greatly.
Chris: It is a vital process Chad: without it we would be robbed of some of the most significant images of the 21st century. WJP's series last week was a classic

Oh, excuse my misunderstanding! I think I should visit Clevedon one day to join in the praise of it by some S/Crs.
Chris: It is a fine & distinguished place Philine
A wondrous structure. You have recreated the look of a 1960's Boots Enprint in pleasing shades of grey
Chris: I am obliged to you, especially for reminding me of the delights of the once ubiquitous Enprint
I love this Charis because you can't tell if this was taken yesterday or in 1960.
Chris: B&w certainly imparts a timeless feel to it Mary
Good shot,well composed,good b/w, Chris,Elizabeth's influence hasn't worn off yet...smile
Chris: Glad you like it Frank

No doubt it will sail up the newly-restored canal. Will be passing close to Chadchestershire, too? I feel that some help is needed there recently.
Chris: You're quite right, it does. Maybe they could squirt a few hundred litres at high pressure through one of his windows..
perhaps tomorrow it can be photoshop, the day after photomatix and so on? smile
Chris: That is a possibility Ayush
Liquid gold eh, but that calls for some refreshment to toast the good old enprint. Pleasing scene Chris
Chris: Thank you kindly John: I have happy memories of the enprint
I well remember a very pleasant afternoon spent here many years ago, your processing really has made this look like an old shot. I presume the cargo is offloaded somewhere along the canal in Droitwich.
Chris: Lovely place isn't it Brian
beautitful Chris.. I like this!
Chris: Thank you kindly Ronke
This reminds me of a photograph you would find printed in an old travel book, Chris. Wonderful!
Chris: I am glad you feel that quality in it Bev

Chris: I can't go on without a regular supply of Photoshop each day Tom: I'm all washed up..
Very generous of you, Chris...
Chris: Generosity is my middle name Larry
charming pictorialism should be proper..
Chris: I hope this is properly proper for you JC
